Renovation in the beginning. A whole new porch is made to the old timberhouse during a thorough renovation. A warmwater-reserver, shower, washingmachine connection and a toilet is placed on the porch. This way the possibility of water damages is minimized and the rest of the house can be kept cold in the winter if needed.
